Viikolla olen seurannut opettajien huoneessa ruokatunnilla muutamien
opettajien koneella kirjoittamisen harjoittelua. Yhdessä olemme nauttineet
heidän onnistumisista ja edistymisistä.
Opettajat ovat
tällä viikolla ottaneet tehtäväkseen vahvistaa minun swahilin kielen taitojani.
Huumorin sävyttämissä hetkissä testataan minun arkipäivän tervehdyksiäni ja
oman nimen kertomista. Ja kun onnistun, ilo on ylimmillään. Naisopettajat ovat
ottaneet aktiivisesti kontaktia. Minulle tulee torstaina kylään eräs
opettajista.
Keskiviikon
opettajien koulutuksessa kävimme Ubuntun toimintaperiaatteita läpi. Pikainen
feedback opettajilta osoitti, että olemme oikeilla jäljillä. Ilmapiiri oli
hieno ja positiivisesti latautunut. Nyt
rohkaisemme opettajia ottamaan muutaman läppärin luokkaan oppilaille
esimerkiksi matematiikan trillaukseen. Olisin erittäin tyytyväinen, jos saisin
vielä ennen lähtöäni olla mukana tällaisella tunnilla.
Tällä viikolla
kuurojen yksikköön tuli 5 esiopettajaharjoittelijaa ja he ovat täällä mukana
opetuksessa aina huhtikuulle asti. Hekin olivat innolla mukana opettajille
suunnatussa koulutuksessa keskiviikkona.
siitä, ettei me suomalaiset uskota omiin kykyihimme, meidän itsetuntomme on
In Englsih:
In this
Week I have focused my Time to be with the Teachers and the Pupils in the
School. I have had pleasure to observe some of the Teachers Lessons. And I have
been happy about I have seen: the using
of drama, Individual guidance. And one of the classroom had some concreteness
Tools in Mathematics. The pupils had used recycled material (the High of the
Bottles). It has been wonderful to notice what kind of Job the Teachers do
under these sparse Conditions. I have also been very pleasure about the
educational and consultative discussions with these Teachers.
In the Teacher
Room I have seen how some of the Teachers have trained typing during the
Breaks. We have shared together the Feelings of Success.
The
Teachers have taken for their task to teach to me some Swahili. Every Day they
are asking questions in Swahili. In these Lessons are full of Humor and Joy. I
have had time to meet some of the Teachers also in free time, too. So I have felt me home. And soon I have to
time to fly back to Finland!
On
Wednesday we had Education about Ubuntu and how it works. In the End of the
Education I asked Teachers to give Feedback. They said it had been good to know
everything about how Edubuntu is working. So we know we are on the right Way.
The Atmosphere in the Education was good. Now we want to encourage the Teachers
to take some Laptops to the Classroom and to give the Pupils to trill with for
example Tuc Math –Program. I and Christopher are ready to help them many
ways. I would be happy I could be with
in some of these lessons before I’ll leave back to Finland.
In this
Week we got 5 teachers Trainees and they are here only to April. They were also
in our Education. It was nice to see how interested they were about to work
with Laptops.
I have had
very interesting Discussions about Finnish Artist and Musicians. My Tanzanian
Colleague and Music Teacher have asked me why there are no popular Finnish Artists
in the world although we have plenty of very good Musicians in Finland. I think
the Reason is we don’t believe our Abilities and our Self-Confidence are still
not good. If somebody gets a good Idea and wants to do something new Things the
Critics and his/her closed People knock
out in advance the Success of the Project. In addition I have noticed there are
just too much negative and pessimistic News in Finland. We don’t have enough
Courage to make bold decisions, we are still thinking too much other People’s
Reactions. We have to trust our excellent working: we have knowledgeable and we’ll succeed! I
hope we can educate our Pupils and Students to this kind of courage, creativity
and positive Thinking in Finland.
Failure is also part of the Life, you can learn the Mistakes. But after
that go on again with the positive Feelings!
In
Wednesday Evening I went with my Friend to Mt Meru Game Lodge. It’s the Place
with then peaceful Atmosphere and many Animals like Zebras, Peacocks, different
kind of Birds. We could see the Monkeys jumping from Tree to Tree
when we had a little snack Break in the open-air Restaurant. The Nostalgia filled my mind and I thought:
this Picture I want to copy deeply to my Mind.
There are people and Animals living very closely together in Tanzania.
What an Amazing Country this is!
